Magic Leap Collaborative Review
UX Design
Project Overview
Collaborative Review makes it easy for users to load 3D models onto their Magic Leap, where they can view, manipulate, and annotate the models with other users in augmented reality space.
This feature became available on Lumin OS version 0.98.10 in early 2020. It also included a Maya plug-in for real-time updating of models while wearing a Magic Leap.
My Contributions
I was Lead Designer on this project, and directly responsible for creating UX flows, motion comps, prototypes, 3D layouts, and detailed design specifications that where delivered to the engineering team. I also conducted heuristic evaluations, ran user tests, and iterated on the designs based on feedback. I worked closely with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers to follow consistent design patterns and push for new interactions that would improve the user experience.
